Raw models
A numerical model is a forecast source, the same way a station is. It is ranked on the daily high, low, and precipitation at the same airports, against the same climate day, and against the National Weather Service forecast from the same issue. It does not enter the station matched-day set, so a model cannot block a station, and a station cannot block a model.
Whether a human forecast beat the raw model is a separate temperature comparison, shown on the station page. Deterministic precipitation is stored as 0% or 100% and is left out of that comparison.
